Chances are that if you have managed to find this site then you probably know a little about Multiple Arcade Machine Emulators (MAME) or have some desire to. Even if you have never heard the term MAME before, don’t worry, this site was designed with you in mind as well.

I will take you through the process of building an arcade machine step by step, show you how I built my machine and offer different resources and options in case you would like to go a different route.

I know you are eager to get started but before you get underway building your own arcade machine it is very important to have a good understanding of what your getting into and do some upfront planning.

I strongly suggest that you first read the overview as it explains how everything comes together to make a working MAME machine.

After you have a good idea of the way all the parts come together I then suggest you spend a good amount of time planning and designing the MAME arcade machine that’s right for you. The more time you spend planning your project, the easier it will be when it actually comes time to building it.
